Committees


Bill currently sits on the House Committees on Homeland Security and Foreign Affairs.  These committees hold hearings on policy issues and review bills before they are considered by the full House of Representatives.

THE HOUSE COMMITTEE ON HOMELAND SECURITY

The Homeland Security Committee was created in 2002 as a direct result of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and has jurisdiction over issues relating to national security.

THE HOUSE COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN AFFAIRS
The Foreign Affairs Committee handles legislation relating to the deployment of the United States Armed Forces; enforcement of United Nations sanctions; the peace corps; national security developments affecting foreign policy; embassy security and issues relating to the Arms Export Control Act.
